Limewash Buffet
Limewash Buffet
Limewash is one of the oldest paints known to man. The Pharaohs used it in ancient Egypt and it is still widely used throughout the world today. It is a fantastic way to add a stunning element of design and texture to your space without having to go bold.
Confession time - genuine limewash paint was not used in this piece. Because, well to be frank, recipes for making it vary from animal fat to linseed oil to skimmed milk. Ummmmm. And Annie Sloan Chalk Paint, watered down to a 50/50 ratio and combined with a white wax, can achieve nearly the same look! Applied with a brush, you can see that soft mottled appearance that shows a natural variation in color. A stunning palette of warm grey-and-beige, with rich whites that give this piece that distinct layered quality in a decidedly softer and more natural feel.
Three cheers for Limewash - one of our favourite ways to age a piece and create dimension for days!

Much love, care and time go into each and every piece. Mediums and finishings are top quality and you can be sure to have a beautiful statement piece for years to come. You are not just buying a piece of furniture, you are buying an original piece of art.
NOTE: Furniture is vintage. Please expect normal wear that would be typical of time and aging.
